The Strictly Come Dancing 2010 Winner and Pygmalion star Kara Tointon returns to the West End in this revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s excruciating social comedy, Absent Friends. Diana and Paul decide to throw a party for the recently bereaved Colin. They hope to cheer him up by inviting several of his old pals along. Unfortunately things don’t go quite to plan, with jealousy, infidelity and barely concealed loathing putting everyone on edge before the guest of honour has even arrived. Absent Friends is directed by Jeremy Herrin and produced by Sonia Friedman. Reece Shearsmith, recently seen in Betty Blue Eyes at the Novello Theatre, also returns to the London stage in the production.
