Wealthy nobleman Don Giovanni is a serial seducer whose lack of morals leads him to commit outrageous abuses, including murder, as he seeks the sport of another sexual conquest. With a growing number of victims vowing revenge, his long-suffering servant, Leporello, must cover for his unscrupulous master. But, just as it seems that Giovanni will outwit them all, he is confronted by a supernatural force from which even he cannot cheat or escape. The Royal Opera stages a cycle of all three operas written by Mozart and librettist Lorenzo da Ponte as part of the venue’s Olympic Programme.
