‘Long Day’s Journey into Night’ tells the story of the Tyrones, a family who must battle their demons, their pasts and one-another through one compelling day and night. David Suchet, best known for playing the role of ‘Hercule Poirot’ for over 20 years, stars as the head of the family, ‘James Tyrone’. A man in denial, James is a 65-year-old actor who has built his reputation with one touring play but is now suffering grave financial problems. His wife and children also have their own troubles, including morphine addiction and illness. David Suchet was last seen in the West End in a hugely successful revival of Arthur Miller’s ‘All My Sons’, winning a Critics’ Circle Award for Best Actor.
