Celebrated Ealing comedy The Ladykillers comes to life on stage in an all-new adaptation by Father Ted creator Graham Linehan. The 1955 film starred Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom. This new production, at the Gielgud Theatre, has an equally illustrious cast, including BAFTA Award-winner Peter Capaldi (The Thick of It), James Fleet (The Vicar of Dibley) and Ben Miller (The Armstrong and Miller Show). The show tells the story of an eccentric old lady, Mrs Louisa Wilberforce, who lives alone with her parrot in a lopsided London house. She innocently rents out rooms to a group of young men who turn out to be a gang of ruthless criminals planning a major heist. With the police baffled by their daring scheme, only Mrs Wilberforce stands in the way of the daring crime, with hilarious and unlikely consequences.
