The Gruffalo - Julia Donaldson’s fantastic children’s story - will be bringing monster fun back to the West End this Christmas when the production claws its way into the Lyric Theatre from Wednesday 23rd November 2011 to Sunday 15th January 2012. The story of the quick-thinking mouse who must fend off numerous woodland carnivors with tall tales of a large imaginary beast has been delighting young audiences since it was first adapted for the stage in 2001 by Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell. |
Terrible Tusks and Terrible ClawsWhen little Mouse finds himself alone in the middle of the deep, dark forest he must think quickly to avoid becoming a tasty snack for some hungry creatures, including a wheeler-dealer Fox, an eccentric Owl and a maraca-shaking Snake. Thankfully, Mouse has an imaginary friend to protect him. One whose fearsome appearance - terrible tusks and terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws- is enough to scare away even the most peckish of predators! Thriller Live! Continues to EntertainThe spectacular concert show Thriller Live! will continue to entertain audiences at the Lyric Theatre throughout the festive season. A retrospective of Michael Jackson’s entire recording career, Thriller Live! combines show-stopping choreograph with fantastic multi-media effects and features countless classics such as I Want You Back, Beat It, Billie Jean and Earth Song. Performances of The Gruffalo will take place in the morning and afternoon at the Shaftesbury Avenue venue. |
