Phantom to Release 25th Anniversary Album

The Phantom of the Opera will release a special two-disc album of the upcoming 25th anniversary performances at London's Royal Albert Hall. The fully-staged production, presented by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh, takes place on the weekend of 1st and 2nd October 2011 is set to feature a cast and orchestra of over 200, including original Love Never Dies co-stars Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess in the leading roles of ‘The Phantom’ and ‘Christine’. The event will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray™ from Monday 14th November 2011. |
Screenings around the WorldFittingly for a show which has won 60 major theatre awards around the world, international audiences are also invited to join in the Phantom celebrations on Sunday 2nd October 2011 when an anniversary performance will be beamed live via satellite to cinemas on several continents. Additional screenings will also take place throughout October for those who miss out on the broadcast. The Phantom of the Opera is currently showing in London, New York, Budapest, Las Vegas, and Kyoto! The Royal Albert Hall will be transformed into the gothic splendour of the Paris Opera House by Matt Kinley inspired by Maria Björnson’s original design.
