Harold Pinter s drama The Caretaker comes to the Trafalgar Studios for a limited run in 2010. The Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse production, starring Pirates of the Caribbean star Jonathan Pryce, transfers to London in January where it will playuntil April 17.Over three acts The Caretaker tells the story of two brothers Aston and Mick and the vagrant Davies (Jonathan Pryce) who Aston invites to stay in their derelict home. All that is left of his past existence are some papers left in Sidcup which he feigns to recover. Meanwhile, the mentally ill Aston dreams of fixing up the house whilst his volatile and manipulative brother Mick is disgruntled with the uninvited guest.Jonathan Pryce is joined by Peter McDonald as Aston. Pryce s theatre credits include Oliver! , My Fair Lady , Miss Saigon and Hamlet , winning an Olivier award for his performance in the latter. His film credits include Pirates of the Caribbean and the James Bond picture Tomorrow Never Dies .
