History:
The Prince Edward Theatre has been many things over the years, from cabaret restaurant to serviceman's club and cinema. In 1978 the building reverted to its original name and became a theatre proper. The first production on reopening was Evita, which ran for nearly eight years. More recently, Mamma Mia! played at the venue from 1999 to 2004.
