History:
The Olivier Theatre is one of three theatres which comprise the National Theatre in London. It opened in 1976 with a performane of Tamburlaine the Great by Christopher Marlowe. The fan shaped auditorium seats 1150 and is used primarily for spectacular large-scale productions.
