After opening in London last year, a revamped immersive production of The War of the Worlds will reopen in 2021. The production will reopen on 4 Mar. 2021, with 97 dates confirmed so far through to 4 Sept. 2021.

Throughout the experience, visitors head to the Royal Observatory, sneak into a deserted house and try to escape London, all while trying to avoid the Martian invaders. Joined by journalist George Herbert, there's 24 "scenes" in total, complete with a War of the Worlds themed bar.

Cast members as interactive holograms include Tom Brittney as George Herbert and Anna-Marie Wayne as Carrie Herbert. Carrie Hope Fletcher appears as Beth, as well as a live cast of 12 actors. Music is provided by Justin Hayward, James and Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson, all set to the original soundtrack.

Originally released in June 1978, Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds is inspired by Orson Welles' Halloween broadcast about Martians in New York. It's the biggest-selling stand-alone double album of all time with over 16 million sales and two international hit singles - "The Eve of the War" and "Forever Autumn".

The War of the Worlds reopens on 4 Mar. 2021.
